  • US Copyright Office -- This official government site lets you know what copyright is, who can claim it, how to secure it, and more.
 

  •  Fair Use Explained Simply -- The University of Texas Library System site discusses copyright topics ranging from what materials are copyrighted to liability for copyright infringement. Two sections are especially important to K-12 are FAIR USE and GETTING PERMISSION.
 
 

  •  Plagiarism Links -- Learn how plagiarism has increased because of electronic technologies and update strategies for avoiding--and detecting--plagiarism from the producers of "TURITIN," a commercial subscription service that identifies papers containing unoriginal material.
 

  • The Educators' Lean and Mean No FAT Guide to Fair Use--Emmy award-winning author Hall Davidson--executive director of educational services and telecommunications at KOCE-TV in California--presents his copyright overview and a self-quiz for educators on TechLearning.com.

  • Illinois' University of St. Francis--This site offers a light-hearted tour of Copyright Bay, featuring guests such as "Rush Clambaugh" and warnings of seismic activity from "Dist-Ed Point."
