The East Central Ohio Area Media Center has approximately 400 PBS documentary videos correlated to the PBS VIDEOdatabase. Batches of new titles are added twice a year. These are borrowed by the same method as all other materials in the AMC collection. PBS documentaries have always had unparalleled ability to bring moments of history to life in your classroom. Now the PBS VIDEOdatabase of America's History and Culture will enable you to more easily utilize these resources.

Students and teachers whose schools are members of the East Central Ohio AMC North. This includes all public schools in Stark County, as well as a number of public and private schools in Columbiana, Portage and Wayne counties.

The clock appears on the television screen while you play the videos, so you can quickly fast forward to the exact minute and second where specific content exists.
Provided a website with "Search" and "Browse" features which enable you to quickly find the exact video sequence you need (with time references attached), based on key words and/or historical dates.
Developed lesson plans built around specific video segments which can be read, printed, or downloaded.
Included hundreds of extra curriculum resources--primary source documents, maps, timelines and biographies--that you can print out.
Added information to help you understand the copyright law as it relates to using portions of videos.
