The East Central Ohio Area Media Center has approximately 400 PBS documentary videos correlated to the PBS VIDEOdatabase. Batches of new titles are added twice a year. These are borrowed by the same method as all other materials in the AMC collection. PBS documentaries have always had unparalleled ability to bring moments of history to life in your classroom. Now the PBS VIDEOdatabase of America's History and Culture will enable you to more easily utilize these resources.

What's included in the PBS VIDEOdatabase subscription?

An INDEX to more than 30,000 short video segments of important people, places, and events in American history and culture Borrowing PRIVILEGES to the collection of videos, all with continuous time-display icons, so you will never need to rely on your VCR counter to find the exact segment you need. Online ACCESS to an additional library of digitized primary source documents, maps, timelines, photos and lesson plans.

Who is eligible to use the PBS VIDEOdatabase?

Students and teachers whose schools are members of the East Central Ohio AMC North. This includes all public schools in Stark County, as well as a number of public and private schools in Columbiana, Portage and Wayne counties.
